Emily Nerland: NFL & NHL Writer

Emily Nerland is one of BetHubb’s resident NHL and NFL experts. Nerland is an experienced journalist having covered some of America’s most prominent college programs, professional sports teams, premiere events, and popular athletes, including the USC Trojans, Los Angeles Lakers, Georgia Bulldogs, PAC-10 Tournament, NBA All-Star Weekend, and [insert more name drops here]. #humblebrag
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Nerland was reared on sports and steak. Three brothers and the ability to order pay-per-view without any repercussion gave her a solid foundation in all things NHL 94, Wrestlemania, UFC, and anything sports related.
Shortly after turning the magical age of 18, Nerland left for America to play Div. 1 hockey at Dartmouth College where she lettered all four years but was forced to wait three of those years to legally drink again. (She is not still bitter about it.) During her decade stint stateside, Nerland tacked through the country contributing/working for various media outlets, including Fox Sports West, College Hockey USA, the CW’s KTLA, LATimes.com, Rivals.com, and Yahoo! Sports Radio.
Aside from sports, Nerland loves bacon and cat videos. If you have either, please feel free to message her about it; however, she requests that you please don’t combine the two.
