Hockey players are known for being extremely tough. The physical beating they endure throughout the course of a hockey game is extremely gruelling. This often leads to several players getting injured during a game, often times none of them are severe usually just the standard knicks & bruises, lost teeth, gashes & cuts on a players face.

Hockey also has many goals find the back of the net in bizarre ways due to the weird fashion the puck can often bounce. Sometimes goals that go in that you would never expect to be possible; usually hit weird parts of a players body re-directing into the net.

This is exactly what happened during the battle of Alberta last night as Oilers forward Dustin Penner was credit with a goal that was deflected in off the face of Flames defenseman Ian White:

Gotta love the toughness of these hockey players. No problem Ian White went into the locker room for a six stitches and he was thrown right back onto the ice.
