Wally Backman Tossed & Suspended for Nearly Fighting Opposing Manager (video)
Wally Backman has lost his mind again, not to the same level we have seen in the past with his breakdowns towards umpires. This time the victim was Syracuse Chiefs manager Tony Beasley who Backman believed was stealing signs from his Buffalo Bisons. The result a three game suspension for what took place when confronting him during a game over the weekend. Check it out:
How do you not love the passion displayed by Backman? If Beasley and the Chiefs were indeed stealing signs he has every right to lose it. Of course baseball will never concede their umpires are to oblivious to notice that activity. And given Backman’s past history he will always receive a longer suspension then others.
